Job Description
The role ensures high availability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure, networks, devices, and applications, while aligning with organizational IT and Information Security standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant IT Operations: Manage day-to-day IT operations at the plant to ensure uninterrupted business and manufacturing activities. Provide on-site and remote technical support to plant users for IT-related issues.
2. IT Asset Management: Implement and maintain IT Asset Management processes at the plant. Track, manage, and audit IT assets including laptops, desktops, servers, network devices, and peripherals throughout their lifecycle. Ensure compliance with asset policies and accurate asset documentation.
3. Network & Connectivity Management: Drive installation, configuration, and management of network devices across the plant (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, switches, routers). Monitor network performance, resolve connectivity issues, and coordinate with service providers and Central team as required.
4. IT Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize IT infrastructure, including: Operating Systems (Windows/Linux) Servers and storage Laptops, desktops, printers, and plant IT hardware Business and plant applications Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, backups, and patch management.
5. Information Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce IT Information Security policies at the plant. Facilitate periodic internal and external security assessments, audits, and reviews. Identify security gaps and drive timely closure of findings in coordination with IT and security teams.
6. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with central IT, IS teams, vendors, and plant stakeholders to ensure seamless IT operations. Provide timely reporting on IT operations, incidents, assets, and security status.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and end-user computing support.
Hands-on experience with IT asset management and plant IT operations.
Working knowledge of information security concepts, policies, and compliance.
Ability to work independently in a plant environment and manage multiple priorities.
Good troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
