Job Description

Area Development Manager will be responsible for driving regional growth, managing channel partners, and expanding market share for adhesive products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Growth
    • Drive sales and revenue growth for wood adhesive products within the assigned region.
    • Develop and implement area business plans aligned with organizational targets.
    • Identify new market opportunities and customer segments to expand the product footprint.
  • Channel Partner Management
    • Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, dealers, and retailers to ensure strong channel performance.
    • Monitor secondary sales, inventory levels, and distributor ROI to maintain healthy channel dynamics.
    • Conduct regular business reviews with partners and support them in achieving sales targets.
  • Market Development
    • Build relationships with carpenters, contractors, OEMs, and woodworking professionals to increase product adoption.
    • Conduct product demonstrations, training programs, and promotional activities to drive brand awareness.
    • Gather market intelligence on competitor products, pricing, and customer preferences.
  • Team & Territory Management
    • Lead and guide sales executives or territory representatives to ensure effective market coverage.
    • Plan and optimize travel schedules to ensure efficient territory management.
    • Track and report sales performance, forecasts, and market trends to the Regional Manager.
  • Technical & Customer Support
    • Provide technical guidance and product recommendations to customers and channel partners.
    • Coordinate with R&D and technical service teams for addressing product performance or application issues.
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit control norms.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and competitor movements.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Any Graduation.
  • MBA in Marketing or Sales Management will be an added advantage.
  • 5–10 years of proven experience in sales and business development within the woodworking, adhesives, laminates, plywood, or building materials industry.
  • Hands-on experience in managing dealers, distributors, and retail channels, as well as direct engagement with carpenters, contractors, and OEMs.
  • Demonstrated success in driving regional growth, market expansion, and achieving sales targets.
